It was an excellent week last week for SWS at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg with Nigel, Phil, Leanne and Sally all representing the company.

The AIX was first launched 16 years ago in Cannes and moved to Hamburg 2 years later. The 2016 event was the 7th year that SWS had exhibited at the show.

The Aircraft Interiors Expo is the 'must attend' event in the industry with all major airlines, manufacturers and other industry service providers coming together over the course of 3 days to see the latest innovations in the market. With over 7,500 visitors including 188 airlines and 500 exhibitors in 7 halls, the AIX is the one event that SWS chooses to exhibit at as all our major clients and target clients are in attendance.

Since 2009, the company has seen its profile rise dramatically as our stands have become bigger and more visible and the company has become increasingly recognised as one of the industry's leading certification experts.

At this year's show, SWS were exhibiting on a corner stand in a prime, main-aisle location in Hall B6.

New for this year, it was agreed that SWS would exhibit Air New Zealand’s Economy Skycouch™ on the stand; it was a real testament to the company's reputation in the industry that ANZ, a leading airline chose to exhibit their much prized seat on our stand!

The benefit to SWS of having Economy Skycouch™ as an exhibit was essentially to show that the company can certify even the most challenging designs. However ANZ were also promoting the licensing opportunities of Economy Skycouch™ to other airlines.

For the 2016 show, it was decided that SWS would share a stand with our partner company, Cobalt Aerospace who would be exhibiting for the first time.

During the show, Dan, Ben and Ed  from Cobalt Aerospace received lots of interest and were running demos at their Colour Clinic for the SWS certified 'Spectrum,' Cobalt's retro-fit LED lighting system.

As the only exhibitor of Wireless Technology at the show, Cobalt also received major interest from both Operators and OEMs as to their 'Unplugged' and 'Juiced' range of products.

Congratulations also to SWS Client, Crystal Cabin Award Winner Rebel.Aero...

Congratulations also to Rebel.Aero, one of SWS’ clients who won the Crystal Cabin Award for the "Passenger Comfort Hardware" category, an innovative standard seat for the economy-class cabin.

The concept promises more legroom thanks to a seating surface that can be folded upwards during flight.  See link:-www.crystal-cabin-award.com/cca-news-realeases/article/award-winning-2016s-innovations-for-aircraft-cabins.html
