Delethalization RigSWS are pleased to announce a new addition to their test facility in South Wales with the introduction of a delethalization rig.

The rig can accommodate seats, seat shells, credenzas and monuments. It complements the already successful static test rig that was first introduced in 2012 and SWS are now looking at further additions with the cyclic and endurance testing to be introduced later this year. The facility is available for both aerospace and non-aerospace projects.

The new rig enables the company to offer the capability to demonstrate compliance with §25.785 and FAA Memorandum ANM-03-115-31 for blunt trauma and sharp edges.

Congrats to Jules for her success in the Virgin London Marathon...

Jules Jones taking part in the Virgin London MarathonOur congratulations go to SWS’ Jules Jones for running over 26 miles in the Virgin London Marathon in April raising £800 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

This fantastic amount smashed Jules’ target of £262 which she had set herself just a few weeks before.

Luckily for Jules who was running with an injured hip, she had the good fortune of being placed at the same start as a good friend who had travelled down to London with her from South Wales.

Jules says of her VLM experience:-

‘It was without a doubt one of the best things I have ever done. It was certainly the most challenging sporting thing I've put myself through. Having the company of a good friend all the way around the course however was brilliant. So much nicer to share the experience when I thought I was destined to run the VLM alone!'

Jules chose to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust as they have been a fantastic support to Jules friends, an amazing young girl and her family over the past year. Our congrats to Jules; the team at SWS also think you are amazing!!
